APPRAISALS

Frank H. McNamee, owner of the Marion Antique Shop, has over 40 years of experience in the antiques and appraisal business. He is a graduate of the Appraisal Studies Program at the Rhode Island School of Design, the H.F. DuPont Winterthur Institute Museum School and has a degree in Marketing from Bridgewater State College and a degree in History from Providence College. In addition, he is certified by the Uniform Standards of Appraisal Practice Program and has been a member of the New England Appraisers Association for more than 25 years, and is a candidate member of the American Society of Appraisers.

 

His face is familiar at regional antique fairs and events, giving on-the-spot evaluations, and he was a host on the popular television program “Antiquing.” Mr. McNamee has done work for many local attorneys, museums (including the Smithsonian Institution and New Bedford Whaling Museum), and private individuals. He is qualified to do appraisals for estate and IRS purposes, insurance valuations and divorce settlements. His experienced staff includes a china and glass specialist, an Internet sales coordinator, a specialist in antiquarian books, jewelry appraiser, and textile specialist.

 

The Marion Antique Shop has one of the largest antique reference libraries in New England.
