Frank H. McNamee, owner of the Marion Antique Shop, has over 30 years of experience in the antiques and appraisal business. He is a graduate of the Appraisal Studies Program at the Rhode Island School of Design, the H.F. DuPont Winterthur Institute Museum School and has a degree in Marketing from Bridgewater State College and a degree in History from Providence College. In addition, he is certified by the Uniform Standards of Appraisal Practice Program and has been a member of the New England Appraisers Association for more than 20 years, and is a candidate member of the American Society of Appraisers. His face is familiar at regional antique fairs and events, giving on the spot evaluations and he is host of the popular television program “Antiquing.” Mr. McNamee has done work for many local attorneys, museums (including the Smithsonian Institution) and private individuals. He is qualified to do appraisals for estate and IRS purposes, insurance valuations and divorce settlements. His experienced staff includes a china and glass specialist, an Internet sales coordinator, a specialist in antiquarian books, and jewelry appraiser. The Marion Antique Shop has one of the largest antique reference libraries in New England.
